HBO | True Blood Season 2 & 3

For Season 2 of HBO’s smash hit, True Blood, I led the team that created this award winning, integrated campaign.  I provided all strategic direction, negotiated co-branding deals and Exec Produced all the elements.  Aside from the Gold Effie, Webby and numerous other awards, it has been called the most successful campaign that HBO has ever executed.  According to HBO, the season 2 premiere episode averaged 3.7 million viewers, making it the pay cabler’s most watched original program since the series finale of The Sopranos. Additionally, season 2 viewership was up a staggering 157% over season 1.


We continued the momentum of Season 2 by producing a viral video that featured True Blood’s self-proclaimed number #1 fan - Snoop Dogg.  I brokered the deal between Snoop’s management and HBO.

For Big Love Season 4, the challenge we tackled was to find a way to reward 5 million loyal fans of a hit show going into its 4th season.  The result was a fundamentalist, polygamist compound family holiday album! Eight classic Christmas songs were re-written, composed, and recorded. We also produced a music video as a companion piece to the album: an earnestly awkward holiday celebration put on by the people of Juniper Creek.  The big payoff was a full page insert in Entertainment Weekly featuring a CD containing all the Holiday tracks we composed.  In addition we also pressed the album on vinyl and used it for special promotional purposes.  I led the team, developed the strategy and Exec Produced all of the elements.
